About us

The Parents of Multiple Births Association (POMBA) – Nova Scotia was founded in 1986 and is a volunteer-led non-profit organization of parents and guardians of multiple birth children serving all of Nova Scotia. POMBA has over 250 families with multiples within Halifax and many reaching throughout all of Nova Scotia. As the only multiple organization in the Maritimes, we also accept members from other Atlantic provinces.

Our purpose is to provide moral and practical support to families dealing with the unique challenges and joys of raising multiples. If you wish to become a member, you will receive many benefits, including access to our support systems and most important of all – contact with more than 250 families with multiples. We have fundraising consignment clothing sales twice a year as well as many other events including a playgroup, parent’s night out, seasonal activities and lots more.

POMBA is entirely staffed by dedicated volunteers whose goal is to support other parents of multiples and provide the best opportunities to share and learn about dealing with and raising our unique families. We hope to be an important part of your journey whether you’re parents-to-be, new parents, or experienced parents of multiples. We’re only an away if you need us and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
