POMBA offers volunteer-based peer support through regular Expectant Parents Night for new parents of multiples and general support. Plus you can access information and resources on our website.

Breast Pump Rental
POMBA has Medela Symphony double, multi-user, hospital-grade breast pumps available for rental.
When renting the breast pump, each user will need their own sanitary collection kit (breast pump attachments) which contains the tubing and breast shields. Each kit also has a protective membrane component that allows the pump to provide suction without breast milk ever interacting with the mechanisms.
Hospital-grade pumps are expensive to buy and therefore are more economical to rent. The same pump rents elsewhere for $75/month. We are pleased that POMBA can offer these savings to its members. We will keep adding more pumps to the program as funds become available. Funds received from rentals will go to the upkeep of existing pumps and towards the purchase of more pumps.
The Medela Symphony Breast Pump is very comfortable and efficient and is the only Medela breast pump recommended for premature babies or low milk supply.

Nursing Pillow
(one time $20 fee)
Whether your planning on nursing or bottle-feeding (or both) your multiples, a proper twin nursing pillow is considered a must-have. These pillows are expensive – about $150 each – and not readily available for purchase locally. To support nursing mothers, POMBA has high-quality twin nursing pillows available.
When learning to breastfeed, there are lots of hurdles to get over. Having multiples doesn’t mean it has to be much harder and having a good nursing pillow is very helpful in the first few months, especially for first-time moms. In providing this support program for our members, POMBA is by no means expressing an opinion on your choice to breast or bottle-feed your babies. In fact, many of us have used the Twin Z pillow for bottle-feeding our twins. We are only trying to assist new mothers who decide to breastfeed in reaching their goals. We are always available to support those who choose to exclusively bottle feed or decide not to breastfeed. Breastfeeding is a very personal decision and it is important that parents make the best choices for their individual situations.
Weego Twin Carrier Rental

In the first few months, life with newborn twins can be a challenge. From days or weeks (or more) in the NICU to simply just trying to hold two crying infants at once, the first days of twin mom and dad life are at times, utterly overwhelming.
With the Weego TWIN Baby Carrier, you can carry and soothe both twins simultaneously. The movement they were accustomed to in the womb is familiar, and the warmth and voice of mom or dad is just what tiny new twin babies crave. The Weego TWIN Baby Carrier can be used from birth on - starting at a weight of the babies of 4 lbs/1,800g each. This allows the use of the Weego TWIN also with premature babies. Depending on the weight and size of the babies, it can be used until the twins are approximately 5 - 6 months old (max. joined weight of 33 lbs/15kg).
